Participation Rules

By enlisting in the recruitment system of the Laboratorio de Economía Experimental (LEE), you indicate your intention to take part in experiments conducted in the Laboratory and your acceptance of these Participation and Privacy Rules.

For each experiment a certain number of enlisted persons will receive an invitation email that will allow them to register for that experiment.

If you wish to de-register from an experiment, it is important to let the experimenters know at least 48 hours before the experiment. The registration system keeps track of attendance and, eventually, removes from the recruitment system those who frequently fail to attend experiments that they register for.

To ensure that only those people who have registered take part in the experiment, participants are asked to always bring an I.D. to the experiment.

If the number of people registered for an experiment exceeds the number of subjects required, some registered persons may not participate in the experiment. However, every registered participant who shows up on time with an I.D. will still receive a show up payment of 5 Euros. Those who participate in the experiment will receive an additional amount that will depend on the decisions of participants during the experiment.

Participants in an experiment must obey the specific rules prescribing their actions in the experiment.

Privacy Policy

Personal data in the recruitment system of the LEE is exclusively collected for the organization of scientific experiments. This data will be used exclusively to inform participants about and invite them to register in laboratory experiments, perform scientifically motivated selection of participants, and check attendance in experiments, and will not be disclosed to third parties. At any time, a participant may choose to have his/her information deleted from the system.

The data generated in laboratory experiments involving decisions by subjects is scientifically evaluated by researchers and is solely used for the production of scientific research. There is no link between the data collected during an experiment and the data in the LEE recruitment system.
